Saddam on trial
Regarding "Trial plan for Saddam accelerated" (June 7): The trial of the former Iraqi president has the potential to show how the new Iraqi government, and indeed this new era in Iraqi history, might be different from those of the past: Will death be the penalty if Saddam is found guilty of crimes against humanity?
One thing is definite: If the tables were turned and Saddam were the prosecutor, the ruling would undoubtedly be the death sentence.
